Charge: a property of matter which enables participation in electromagnetism. Protons and electrons are the two common carriers of it.
Current: the flow rate of hypothetical positive charges producing the field effect as the actual charges that flow.
Voltage: the cause of current. A function of space indicating energy per unit charge at every location.
EMF: for what it is worth, a synonyms of voltage.
Free Electrons: electrons not bound to remain with one atom, but free to move through space between atoms and among atoms.
